Τί οὖν ὁ νόμος; Τῶν παραβάσεων χάριν προσετέθη, ἄχρι οὗ ἔλθῃ τὸ σπέρμα ᾧ ἐπήγγελται, διαταγεὶς δι' ἀγγέλων ἐν χειρὶ μεσίτου.
Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
Entonces, ¿para qué sirve la ley? Fue añadida por causa de las transgresiones hasta que viniera la descendencia a quien fue hecha la promesa. Fue promulgada por medio de ángeles y confiada a un mediador.
