ἵνα διὰ δύο πραγμάτων ἀμεταθέτων, ἐν οἷς ἀδύνατον ψεύσασθαι Θεόν, ἰσχυρὰν παράκλησιν ἔχωμεν οἱ καταφυγόντες κρατῆσαι τῆς προκειμένης ἐλπίδος·
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Dios lo hizo así para que, mediante dos cosas inmutables en las que es imposible que Dios mienta, tengamos un estímulo poderoso los que hemos buscado refugio en aferrarnos a la esperanza que está puesta delante de nosotros.
