Ἐν τῷ λέγειν, Καινήν, πεπαλαίωκεν τὴν πρώτην. Τὸ δὲ παλαιούμενον καὶ γηράσκον, ἐγγὺς ἀφανισμοῦ.
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Al llamar «nuevo» a este pacto, ha declarado obsoleto al primero; y lo que se vuelve obsoleto y envejece, pronto desaparece.
