Μακροθυμήσατε οὖν, ἀδελφοί, ἕως τῆς παρουσίας τοῦ Κυρίου. Ἰδού, ὁ γεωργὸς ἐκδέχεται τὸν τίμιον καρπὸν τῆς γῆς, μακροθυμῶν ἐπ' αὐτόν, ἕως λάβῃ ὑετὸν πρώϊμον καὶ ὄψιμον.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
Por tanto, hermanos y hermanas, tengan paciencia hasta la venida del Señor. Miren cómo el agricultor espera que la tierra dé su valioso fruto y con qué paciencia aguarda las lluvias de otoño y de primavera.
