ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἑστηκότες διὰ τὸν φόβον τοῦ βασανισμοῦ αὐτῆς, λέγοντες, Οὐαί, οὐαί, ἡ πόλις ἡ μεγάλη Βαβυλών, ἡ πόλις ἡ ἰσχυρά, ὅτι μιᾷ ὥρᾳ ἦλθεν ἡ κρίσις σου.
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Aterrorizados ante su tormento, se mantendrán a distancia y exclamarán: «¡Ay! ¡Ay de ti, la gran ciudad, Babilonia la ciudad poderosa! ¡En una sola hora te ha llegado el juicio!»
