תְּפִלָּ֗ה לְ֫דָוִ֥ד שִׁמְעָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה צֶ֣דֶק הַקְשִׁ֑יבָה רִ֝נָּתִ֗י הַאֲזִ֥ינָה תְפִלָּתִ֗י בְּלֹ֥א שִׂפְתֵ֗י מִרְמָֽה׃
KJVA Prayer of David. Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
A Prayer of David. Hear a just cause, O LORD; attend to my cry! Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit!

מִלְּפָנֶ֥יךָ מִשְׁפָּטִ֗י יֵ֫צֵ֥א עֵ֘ינֶ֤יךָ תֶ֖חֱזֶינָה מֵישָׁרִֽים׃
KJVLet my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
From your presence let my vindication come! Let your eyes behold the right!

בָּ֘חַ֤נְתָּ לִּבִּ֗י פָּ֫קַ֥דְתָּ לַ֭יְלָה צְרַפְתַּ֥נִי בַל תִּמְצָ֑א זַ֝מֹּתִ֗י בַּל יַעֲבָר פִּֽי׃
KJVThou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
You have tried my heart, you have visited me by night, you have tested me, and you will find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.

לִפְעֻלּ֥וֹת אָדָ֗ם בִּדְבַ֣ר שְׂ֭פָתֶיךָ אֲנִ֥י שָׁ֝מַ֗רְתִּי אָרְח֥וֹת פָּרִֽיץ׃
KJVConcerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
With regard to the works of man, by the word of your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent.

תָּמֹ֣ךְ אֲ֭שֻׁרַי בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתֶ֑יךָ בַּל נָ֝מ֗וֹטּוּ פְעָמָֽי׃
KJVHold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.

אֲנִ֤י קְרָאתִ֗יךָ כִֽי תַעֲנֵ֗נִי אֵ֫ל הַ֥ט אָזְנְךָ֥ לִ֝֗י שְׁמַ֣ע אִמְרָתִֽי׃
KJVI have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.

הַפְלֵ֣ה חֲ֭סָדֶיךָ מוֹשִׁ֣יעַ חוֹסִ֑ים מִ֝מִּתְקוֹמְמִ֗ים בִּֽימִינֶֽךָ׃
KJVShew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.

שָׁ֭מְרֵנִי כְּאִישׁ֣וֹן בַּת עָ֑יִן בְּצֵ֥ל כְּ֝נָפֶ֗יךָ תַּסְתִּירֵֽנִי׃
KJVKeep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings,

מִפְּנֵ֣י רְ֭שָׁעִים ז֣וּ שַׁדּ֑וּנִי אֹיְבַ֥י בְּ֝נֶ֗פֶשׁ יַקִּ֥יפוּ עָלָֽי׃
KJVFrom the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
from the wicked who do me violence, my deadly enemies who surround me.

חֶלְבָּ֥מוֹ סָגְר֑וּ פִּ֝ימוֹ דִּבְּר֗וּ בְּגֵאֽוּת׃
KJVThey are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
They close their hearts to pity; with their mouths they speak arrogantly.

אַ֭שֻּׁרֵינוּ עַתָּ֣ה סְבָב֑וּנוּ עֵינֵיהֶ֗ם יָשִׁ֥יתוּ לִנְט֗וֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃
KJVThey have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
They have now surrounded our steps; they set their eyes to cast us to the ground.

דִּ֭מְיֹנוֹ כְּאַרְיֵ֣ה יִכְסֹ֑ף לִ֝טְר֗וֹף וְכִכְפִ֥יר יֹשֵׁ֗ב בְּמִסְתָּרִֽים׃
KJVLike as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
He is like a lion eager to tear, as a young lion lurking in ambush.

ק֘וּמָ֤ה יְהוָ֗ה קַדְּמָ֣ה פָ֭נָיו הַכְרִיעֵ֑הוּ פַּלְּטָ֥ה נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י מֵרָשָׁ֥ע חַרְבֶּֽךָ׃
KJVArise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:
Arise, O LORD! Confront him, subdue him! Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword,

מִמְתִ֬ים יָדְךָ֨ ׀ יְהוָ֗ה מִֽמְתִ֣ים מֵחֶ֣לֶד חֶלְקָ֑ם בַּחַיִּ֗ים וּצְפֽוּנְךָ֗ תְּמַלֵּ֥א בִטְנָ֗ם יִשְׂבְּע֥וּ בָנִ֗ים וְהִנִּ֥יחוּ יִ֝תְרָ֗ם לְעוֹלְלֵיהֶֽם׃
KJVFrom men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
from men by your hand, O LORD, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. You fill their womb with treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.

אֲנִ֗י בְּ֭צֶדֶק אֶחֱזֶ֣ה פָנֶ֑יךָ אֶשְׂבְּעָ֥ה בְ֝הָקִ֗יץ תְּמוּנָתֶֽךָ׃
KJVAs for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness.
