מִכְתָּ֥ם לְדָוִ֗ד שָֽׁמְרֵ֫נִי אֵ֥ל כִּי חָסִ֥יתִי בָֽךְ׃

KJVMichtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

אָמַ֣רְתְּ לַֽ֭יהוָה אֲדֹנָ֣י אָ֑תָּה טוֹבָתִ֗י בַּל עָלֶֽיךָ׃

KJVO my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

I say to the LORD: You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.

לִקְדוֹשִׁ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּאָ֣רֶץ הֵ֑מָּה וְ֝אַדִּירֵ֗י כָּל חֶפְצִי בָֽם׃

KJVBut to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.

יִרְבּ֥וּ עַצְּבוֹתָ֗ם אַחֵ֥ר מָהָ֑רוּ בַּל אַסִּ֥יךְ נִסְכֵּיהֶ֗ם מִדָּ֥ם וּבַל אֶשָּׂ֗א אֶת שְׁמ֥וֹתָם עַל שְׂפָתָֽי׃

KJVTheir sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips.

יְ֭הוָה מְנָת חֶלְקִ֣י וְכוֹסִ֑י אַ֝תָּ֗ה תּוֹמִ֥יךְ גּוֹרָלִֽי׃

KJVThe LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.

חֲבָלִ֗ים נָֽפְלוּ לִ֥י בַּנְּעִמִ֑ים אַף נַ֝חֲלָ֗ת שָׁפְרָ֥ה עָלָֽי׃

KJVThe lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

אֲבָרֵ֗ךְ אֶ֫ת יְהוָ֥ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְעָצָ֑נִי אַף לֵ֝יל֗וֹת יִסְּר֥וּנִי כִלְיוֹתָֽי׃

KJVI will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

שִׁוִּ֬יתִי יְהוָ֣ה לְנֶגְדִּ֣י תָמִ֑יד כִּ֥י מִ֝ימִינִ֗י בַּל אֶמּֽוֹט׃

KJVI have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

לָכֵ֤ן ׀ שָׂמַ֣ח לִבִּ֣י וַיָּ֣גֶל כְּבוֹדִ֑י אַף בְּ֝שָׂרִ֗י יִשְׁכֹּ֣ן לָבֶֽטַח׃

KJVTherefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.

כִּ֤י ׀ לֹֽא תַעֲזֹ֣ב נַפְשִׁ֣י לִשְׁא֑וֹל לֹֽא תִתֵּ֥ן חֲ֝סִידְךָ֗ לִרְא֥וֹת שָֽׁחַת׃

KJVFor thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.

תּ֘וֹדִ֤יעֵנִי אֹ֣רַח חַ֭יִּים שֹׂ֣בַע שְׂמָח֑וֹת אֶת פָּנֶ֗יךָ נְעִמ֥וֹת בִּימִינְךָ֗ נֶֽצַח׃

KJVThou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
