מִזְמ֗וֹר לְ֫אָסָ֥ף אֵ֤ל ׀ אֱלֹהִ֣ים יְ֭הוָה דִּבֶּ֑ר וַיִּקְרָא אֶ֗רֶץ מִמִּזְרַח שֶׁ֥מֶשׁ עַד מְבֹאֽוֹ׃

KJVA Psalm of Asaph. The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.

A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

מִצִּיּ֗וֹן מִ֭כְלַל יֹ֗פִי אֱלֹהִ֣ים הוֹפִֽיעַ׃

KJVOut of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.

יָבֹ֣א אֱלֹהֵ֣ינוּ וְאַל יֶחֱרַ֑שׁ אֵ֥שׁ לְפָנָ֗יו תֹּאכֵ֗ל וּסְבִיב֗וֹתָ֗יו נִשְׂעֲרָ֗ה מְאֹֽד׃

KJVOur God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Our God comes; he does not keep silence; before him is a devouring fire, around him a mighty tempest.

יִקְרָ֣א אֶל הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם מֵעָ֑ל וְאֶל הָ֝אָ֗רֶץ לָדִ֥ין עַמּֽוֹ׃

KJVHe shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that he may judge his people:

אִסְפוּ לִ֣י חֲסִידָ֑י כֹּרְתֵ֖י בְרִיתִ֣י עֲלֵי זָֽבַח׃

KJVGather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

Gather to me my faithful ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!

וַיַּגִּ֣ידוּ שָׁמַ֣יִם צִדְק֑וֹ כִּי אֱלֹהִ֓ים ׀ שֹׁפֵ֬ט ה֗וּא סֶֽלָה׃

KJVAnd the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

The heavens declare his righteousness, for God himself is judge! Selah

שִׁמְעָ֤ה עַמִּ֗י וַאֲדַבֵּ֑רָה יִ֝שְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְאָעִ֥ידָה בָּֽךְ אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ אָנֹֽכִי׃

KJVHear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.

Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God.

לֹ֣א עַ֭ל זְבָחֶ֣יךָ אוֹכִיחֶ֑ךָ וְעוֹלֹתֶ֗יךָ לְנֶגְדִּ֗י תָמִֽיד׃

KJVI will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me.

לֹא אֶ֭קַּח מִבֵּיתְךָ֣ פָ֑ר מִמִּ֝כְלְאֹתֶ֗יךָ עַתּוּדִֽים׃

KJVI will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.

I will not accept a bull from your house or goats from your folds.

כִּי לִ֭י כָל חַיְתוֹ יָ֑עַר בְּ֝הֵמ֗וֹת בְּהַרְרֵי אָֽלֶף׃

KJVFor every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.

יָדַ֥עְתִּי כָּל ע֑וֹף הָרִ֗֝ים וְזִ֣יז שָׂדַ֣י עִמָּדִֽי׃

KJVI know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.

אִם אֶרְעַ֥ב לֹא אֹ֗מַר לָ֫ךְ כִּ֥י לִ֣י תֵ֭בֵל וּמְלֹאָֽהּ׃

KJVIf I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine.

הַאוֹכַ֥ל בְּשַׂר אַבִּירִ֑ים וְדַ֖ם עַתּוּדִ֣ים אֶשְׁתֶּֽה׃

KJVWill I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?

Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

זְבַ֣ח לֵ֭אלֹהִים תּוֹדָ֑ה וְשַׁלֵּ֖ם לְעֶלְי֣וֹן נְדָרֶֽיךָ׃

KJVOffer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High,

וּקְרָאֵ֣נִי בְּי֣וֹם צָרָ֑ה אֲ֝חַלֶּצְךָ֗ וּתְכַבְּדֵֽנִי׃

KJVAnd call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.

וְלָרָשָׁ֗ע אָמַ֣ר אֱ֭לֹהִים מַה לְּךָ֗ לְסַפֵּ֥ר חֻקָּ֑י וַתִּשָּׂ֖א בְרִיתִ֣י עֲלֵי פִֽיךָ׃

KJVBut unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?

But to the wicked God says: What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips?

17

וְ֭אַתָּה שָׂנֵ֣אתָ מוּסָ֑ר וַתַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ דְּבָרַ֣י אַחֲרֶֽיךָ׃

KJVSeeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you.

18

אִם רָאִ֣יתָ גַ֭נָּב וַתִּ֣רֶץ עִמּ֑וֹ וְעִ֖ם מְנָאֲפִ֣ים חֶלְקֶֽךָ׃

KJVWhen thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

If you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and you keep company with adulterers.

19

פִּ֭יךָ שָׁלַ֣חְתָּ בְרָעָ֑ה וּ֝לְשׁוֹנְךָ֗ תַּצְמִ֥יד מִרְמָֽה׃

KJVThou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.

You give your mouth free rein for evil, and your tongue frames deceit.

20

תֵּשֵׁ֗ב בְּאָחִ֣יךָ תְ֭דַבֵּר בְּבֶן אִמְּךָ֗ תִּתֶּן דֹּֽפִי׃

KJVThou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.

You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.

21

אֵ֤לֶּה עָשִׂ֨יתָ ׀ וְהֶחֱרַ֗שְׁתִּי דִּמִּ֣יתָ הֱ֭יוֹת אֶהְיֶ֣ה כָמ֑וֹךָ אוֹכִיחֲךָ֗ וְאֶ֣עֶרְכָ֣ה לְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃

KJVThese things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you.

בִּינוּ נָ֬א זֹ֨את ׀ שֹׁ֘כְחֵ֤י אֱלֹ֗הַ פֶּ֣ן אֶ֭טְרֹף וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּ֑יל׃

KJVNow consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver!

זֹבֵ֣חַ תּ֭וֹדָה יְכַבְּדָ֑נְנִי וְשָׂ֥ם דֶּ֝רֶךְ אַרְאֶ֗נּוּ בְּיֵ֣שַׁע אֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVWhoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me; to one who orders his way rightly I will show the salvation of God!
