Psalms Chapter 66 | KJV & Biblical Hebrew

לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ שִׁ֣יר מִזְמ֣וֹר הָרִ֣יעוּ לֵ֭אלֹהִים כָּל הָאָ֑רֶץ׃

KJVTo the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:

To the choirmaster. A Song. A Psalm. Shout for joy to God, all the earth;

זַמְּר֣וּ כְב֣וֹד שְׁמ֑וֹ שִׂ֝֗ימוּ כָּב֥וֹד תְּהִלָּתֽוֹ׃

KJVSing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.

sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!

אִמְר֣וּ לֵ֭אלֹהִים מַה נּ֣וֹרָא מַעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ בְּרֹ֥ב עֻ֝זְּךָ יְכַחֲשׁ֥וּ לְךָ֗ אֹיְבֶֽיךָ׃

KJVSay unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

Say to God: How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.

כָּל הָאָ֣רֶץ יִֽשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְךָ֑ וִֽ֝יזַמְּרוּ לָ֗ךְ יְזַמְּר֥וּ שְׁמֶֽךָ׃

KJVAll the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name. Selah

לְכ֣וּ וּ֭רְאוּ מִפְעֲל֣וֹת אֱלֹהִ֑ים נוֹרָ֥א עֲ֝לִילָ֗ה עַל בְּנֵ֥י אָדָֽם׃

KJVCome and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.

הָפַ֣ךְ יָ֭ם לְיַבָּשָׁ֗ה בַּ֭נָּהָר יַעַבְר֣וּ בְרָ֑גֶל שָׁ֤ם נִשְׂמְחָ֥ה בּֽוֹ׃

KJVHe turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There did we rejoice in him,

מֹשֵׁ֣ל בִּ֭גְבוּרָתוֹ עוֹלָ֑ם עֵינָיו֮ בַּגּוֹיִ֗ם תִּ֫צְפֶּ֥ינָה הַסּוֹרְרִ֗ים אַל יָר֥וּמוּ לָמֽוֹ׃

KJVHe ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations — let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah

בָּרֲכ֣וּ עַמִּ֣ים אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ וְהַשְׁמִ֗יעוּ ק֣וֹל תְּהִלָּתֽוֹ׃

KJVO bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:

Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard,

הַשָּׂ֣ם נַ֭פְשֵׁנוּ בַּחַיִּ֑ים וְלֹא נָתַ֖ן לַמּ֣וֹט רַגְלֵֽנוּ׃

KJVWhich holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.

who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.

כִּ֣י בְ֭חַנְתָּנוּ אֱלֹהִ֑ים צְ֝רַפְתָּ֗נוּ כִּצְרָף כָּסֶֽף׃

KJVFor thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

For you, O God, have tested us; you have tried us as silver is tried.

הֲ֭בֵאתָנוּ בַמְּצוּדָ֑ה שַׂ֖מְתָּ מוּעָקָ֣ה בְמָתְנֵֽינוּ׃

KJVThou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

You brought us into the net; you laid a crushing burden on our backs;

הִ֭רְכַּבְתָּ אֱנ֣וֹשׁ לְרֹאשֵׁ֑נוּ בָּ֘אנוּ בָ֤אֵשׁ וּבַמַּ֗יִם וַתּוֹצִיאֵ֥נוּ לָרְוָיָֽה׃

KJVThou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

you let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water; yet you have brought us out to a place of abundance.

13

אָב֣וֹא בֵיתְךָ֣ בְ֭עוֹלוֹת אֲשַׁלֵּ֣ם לְךָ֣ נְדָרָ֑י׃

KJVI will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,

I will come into your house with burnt offerings; I will perform my vows to you,

אֲשֶׁר פָּצ֣וּ שְׂ֭פָתַי וְדִבֶּ֥ר פִּ֝י בַּצַּר לִֽי׃

KJVWhich my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.

that which my lips uttered and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.

עֹל֥וֹת מֵחִ֗ים אַעֲלֶ֬ה לָּ֗ךְ עִם קְ֭טֹרֶת אֵילִ֑ים אֶעֱשֶׂ֥ה בָ֝קָ֗ר עִם עַתּוּדִֽים׃

KJVI will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

I will offer to you burnt offerings of fattened animals, with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams; I will make an offering of bulls and goats. Selah

לְכ֣וּ שִׁ֭מְעוּ וַאֲסַפְּרָ֣ה כָּל יִרְאֵ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר עָשָׂ֣ה לְנַפְשִֽׁי׃

KJVCome and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.

17

אֵ֭לָיו פִּ֣י קָרָ֑אתִי וְ֝רוֹמַ֗ם תַּ֣חַת לְשׁוֹנִֽי׃

KJVI cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.

I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue.

18

אָ֣וֶן אִם רָאִ֣יתִי בְלִבִּ֑י לֹ֣א יִשְׁמַ֣ע אֲדֹנָֽי׃

KJVIf I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.

אָכֵ֣ן שָׁמַ֣ע אֱלֹהִ֑ים הִ֝קְשִׁ֗יב בְּק֣וֹל תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃

KJVBut verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer.

20

בָּר֣וּךְ אֱלֹהִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא הֵסִ֣יר תְּ֭פִלָּתִי וְחַסְדּ֗וֹ מֵאִתִּֽי׃

KJVBlessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Blessed be God, because he has not rejected my prayer or removed his steadfast love from me!
