שִׁגָּי֗וֹן לְ֫דָוִ֥ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁר לַיהוָ֑ה עַל דִּ֝בְרֵי כ֣וּשׁ בֶּן יְמִינִֽי׃

יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהַ֗י בְּךָ֣ חָ֭סִיתִי הוֹשִׁיעֵ֣נִי מִכָּל רֹדְפַ֑י וְהַצִּילֵֽנִי׃
KJVO LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
O LORD my God, in you do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me,

פֶּן יִטְרֹ֣ף כְּאַרְיֵ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י פֹּ֝רֵ֗ק וְאֵ֣ין מַצִּֽיל׃
KJVLest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
lest like a lion they tear my soul apart, rending it in pieces, with none to deliver.

יְהוָ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהַי אִם עָשִׂ֣יתִי זֹ֑את אִם יֶשׁ עָ֝וֶל בְּכַפָּֽי׃
KJVO LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
O LORD my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands,

אִם גָּמַ֣לְתִּי שׁ֭וֹלְמִי רָ֑ע וָ֝אֲחַלְּצָ֗ה צֹרְרִ֥י רֵיקָֽם׃
KJVIf I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
if I have repaid my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause,

יִ֤רַדֹּ֨ף אוֹיֵ֨ב ׀ נַפְשִׁ֡י וְיַשֵּׂ֗ג וְיִרְמֹ֣ס לָאָ֣רֶץ חַיָּ֑י וּ֝כְבוֹדִ֗י לֶעָפָ֥ר יַשְׁכֵּֽן סֶֽלָה׃
KJVLet the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it, and let him trample my life to the ground and lay my glory in the dust. Selah

ק֥וּמָה יְהוָ֗ה בְּאַ֫פֶּ֥ךָ הִ֭נָּשֵׂא בְּעַבְר֣וֹת צוֹרְרָ֑י וְע֥וּרָ֗ה אֵלַ֗י מִשְׁפָּ֥ט צִוִּֽיתָ׃
KJVArise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
Arise, O LORD, in your anger; lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; you have appointed a judgment.

וַעֲדַ֣ת לְ֭אֻמִּים תְּסוֹבְבֶ֑ךָּ וְ֝עָלֶ֗יהָ לַמָּר֥וֹם שֽׁוּבָה׃
KJVSo shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about you; over it return on high.

יְהוָ֥ה יָדִ֣ין עַמִּ֑ים שָׁ֘פְטֵ֤נִי יְהוָ֥ה כְּצִדְקִ֗י וּכְתֻמִּ֥י עָלָֽי׃
KJVThe LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
The LORD judges the peoples; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.
10
יִגְמָר נָ֬א רַ֨ע ׀ רְשָׁ֗עִים וּתְכוֹנֵ֣ן צַדִּ֑יק וּ֝בֹחֵ֗ן לִבּ֥וֹת וּכְלָי֗וֹת אֱלֹהִ֥ים צַדִּֽיק׃
KJVOh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous — you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God!

מָגִנִּ֥י עַל אֱלֹהִ֑ים מוֹשִׁ֥יעַ יִ֝שְׁרֵי לֵֽב׃
KJVMy defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart.
12
אֱ֭לֹהִים שׁוֹפֵ֣ט צַדִּ֑יק וְ֝אֵ֗ל זֹעֵ֥ם בְּכָל יֽוֹם׃
KJVGod judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.

אִם לֹ֣א יָ֭שׁוּב חַרְבּ֣וֹ יִלְטֹ֑שׁ קַשְׁתּ֥וֹ דָ֝רַ֗ךְ וַיְכוֹנְנֶֽהָ׃
KJVIf he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow;

וְ֘ל֤וֹ הֵכִ֣ין כְּלֵי מָ֑וֶת חִ֝צָּ֗יו לְדֹלְקִ֥ים יִפְעָֽל׃
KJVHe hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
he has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making his arrows fiery shafts.
15
הִנֵּ֤ה יְחַבֶּל אָ֗וֶן וְהָרָ֣ה עָמָ֑ל וְ֝יָלַ֗ד שָֽׁקֶר׃
KJVBehold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies.

בּ֭וֹר כָּרָ֣ה וַיַּחְפְּרֵ֑הוּ וַ֝יִּפֹּ֗ל בְּשַׁ֣חַת יִפְעָֽל׃
KJVHe made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made.
17
יָשׁ֣וּב עֲמָל֣וֹ בְרֹאשׁ֑וֹ וְעַ֥ל קָ֝דְקֳד֗וֹ חֲמָס֗וֹ יֵרֵֽד׃
KJVHis mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.
18
אוֹדֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה כְּצִדְק֑וֹ וַ֝אֲזַמְּרָ֗ה שֵֽׁם יְהוָ֥ה עֶלְיֽוֹן׃
KJVI will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.
