לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ בִּנְגִינ֡וֹת עַֽל הַשְּׁמִינִ֬ית מִזְמ֖וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃
KJVTo the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.

יְהוָ֗ה אַֽל בְּאַפְּךָ֥ תוֹכִיחֵ֑נִי וְאַל בַּחֲמָתְךָ֥ תְיַסְּרֵֽנִי׃
KJVO LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
O LORD, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath.

חָנֵּ֣נִי יְ֭הוָה כִּ֣י אֻמְלַ֣ל אָ֑נִי רְפָאֵ֥נִי יְ֝הוָ֗ה כִּ֣י נִבְהֲל֣וּ עֲצָמָֽי׃
KJVHave mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; heal me, O LORD, for my bones are troubled.

וְנַפְשִׁ֥י נִבְהֲלָ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד וְאַ֥תָּה יְ֝הוָ֗ה עַד מָתָֽי׃
KJVMy soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
My soul also is greatly troubled. But you, O LORD — how long?

שׁ֣וּבָה יְ֭הוָה חַלְּצָ֣ה נַפְשִׁ֑י הוֹשִׁיעֵ֥נִי לְמַ֥עַן חַסְדֶּֽךָ׃
KJVReturn, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
Turn, O LORD, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love.

כִּ֤י אֵ֣ין בַּמָּ֣וֶת זִכְרֶ֑ךָ בִּ֝שְׁא֗וֹל מִ֣י יוֹדֶה לָּֽךְ׃
KJVFor in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?

יָגַ֤עְתִּי ׀ בְּ֫אַנְחָתִ֥י אַשְׂחֶ֣ה בְכָל לַ֭יְלָה מִטָּתִ֑י בְּדִמְעָתִ֥י עַ֝רְשִׂ֗י אַמְסֶֽה׃
KJVI am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.

עָשְׁשָׁ֣ה מִכַּ֣עַס עֵינִ֑י עָ֝תְקָ֗ה בְּכָל צוֹרְרָֽי׃
KJVMine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
My eye wastes away because of grief; it grows weak because of all my foes.

ס֣וּרוּ מִ֭מֶּנִּי כָּל פֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן כִּ֤י שָׁמַ֖ע יְהוָ֣ה ק֣וֹל בִּכְיִֽי׃
KJVDepart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
Depart from me, all you workers of evil, for the LORD has heard the sound of my weeping.

שָׁמַ֣ע יְ֭הוָה תְּחִנָּתִ֑י יְ֝הוָ֗ה תְּפִלָּתִ֥י יִקָּֽח׃
KJVThe LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
The LORD has heard my plea; the LORD accepts my prayer.

יֵ֘בֹ֤שׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲל֣וּ מְ֭אֹד כָּל אֹיְבָ֑י יָ֝שֻׁ֗בוּ יֵ֣בֹשׁוּ רָֽגַע׃
KJVLet all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.
