אֵלֶּה מַסְעֵי בְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יָצְאוּ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לְצִבְאֹתָם בְּיַד-מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן

KJVThese are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

These are the stages of the people of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt by their companies under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

וַיִּכְתֹּב מֹשֶׁה אֶת-מוֹצָאֵיהֶם לְמַסְעֵיהֶם עַל-פִּי יְהוָה וְאֵלֶּה מַסְעֵיהֶם לְמוֹצָאֵיהֶם

KJVAnd Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

Moses wrote down their starting places, stage by stage, by command of the LORD, and these are their stages according to their starting places.

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵרַעְמְסֵס בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן בַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן מִמָּחֳרַת הַפֶּסַח יָצְאוּ בְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּיָד רָמָה לְעֵינֵי כָּל-מִצְרָיִם

KJVAnd they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

They set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover, the people of Israel went out triumphantly in the sight of all the Egyptians,

וּמִצְרַיִם מְקַבְּרִים אֵת אֲשֶׁר הִכָּה יְהוָה בָּהֶם כָּל-בְּכוֹר וּבֵאלֹהֵיהֶם עָשָׂה יְהוָה שְׁפָטִים

KJVFor the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments.

while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them. On their gods also the LORD executed judgments.

וַיִּסְעוּ בְנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵרַעְמְסֵס וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּסֻכֹּת

KJVAnd the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.

So the people of Israel set out from Rameses and camped at Succoth.

וַיִּסְעוּ מִסֻּכֹּת וַיַּחֲנוּ בְאֵתָם אֲשֶׁר בִּקְצֵה הַמִּדְבָּר

KJVAnd they departed from Succoth, and pitched in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

And they set out from Succoth and camped at Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness.

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵאֵתָם וַיָּשָׁב עַל-פִּי הַחִירֹת אֲשֶׁר עַל-פְּנֵי בַּעַל צְפוֹן וַיַּחֲנוּ לִפְנֵי מִגְדֹּל

KJVAnd they removed from Etham, and turned again unto Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they pitched before Migdol.

And they set out from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is to the east of Baal-zephon, and they camped before Migdol.

וַיִּסְעוּ מִפְּנֵי הַחִירֹת וַיַּעַבְרוּ בְתוֹךְ-הַיָּם הַמִּדְבָּרָה וַיֵּלְכוּ דֶּרֶךְ שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים בְּמִדְבַּר אֵתָם וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמָרָה

KJVAnd they departed from before Pi-hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.

And they set out from before Hahiroth and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and they went a three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham and camped at Marah.

וַיִּסְעוּ מִמָּרָה וַיָּבֹאוּ אֵילִמָה וּבְאֵילִם שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה עֵינֹת מַיִם וְשִׁבְעִים תְּמָרִים וַיַּחֲנוּ-שָׁם

KJVAnd they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve fountains of water, and threescore and ten palm trees; and they pitched there.

And they set out from Marah and came to Elim; at Elim there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there.

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵאֵילִם וַיַּחֲנוּ עַל-יַם-סוּף

KJVAnd they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.

And they set out from Elim and camped by the Red Sea.

11

וַיִּסְעוּ מִיַּם-סוּף וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמִדְבַּר-סִין

KJVAnd they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

And they set out from the Red Sea and camped in the wilderness of Sin.

12

וַיִּסְעוּ מִמִּדְבַּר-סִין וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּדָפְקָה

KJVAnd they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

And they set out from the wilderness of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

13

וַיִּסְעוּ מִדָּפְקָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּאָלוּשׁ

KJVAnd they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

And they set out from Dophkah and camped at Alush.

14

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵאָלוּשׁ וַיַּחֲנוּ בִּרְפִידִם וְלֹא-הָיָה שָׁם מַיִם לָעָם לִשְׁתּוֹת

KJVAnd they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink.

And they set out from Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵרְפִידִם וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמִדְבַּר סִינָי

KJVAnd they departed from Rephidim, and pitched in the wilderness of Sinai.

And they set out from Rephidim and camped in the wilderness of Sinai.

16

וַיִּסְעוּ מִמִּדְבַּר סִינַי וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּקִבְרֹת הַתַּאֲוָה

KJVAnd they removed from the desert of Sinai, and pitched at Kibroth-hattaavah.

And they set out from the wilderness of Sinai and camped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

17

וַיִּסְעוּ מִקִּבְרֹת הַתַּאֲוָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בַּחֲצֵרֹת

KJVAnd they departed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.

And they set out from Kibroth-hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.

18

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵחֲצֵרוֹת וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּרִתְמָה

KJVAnd they departed from Hazeroth, and pitched in Rithmah.

And they set out from Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.

19

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵרִתְמָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּרִמֹּן פָּרֶץ

KJVAnd they departed from Rithmah, and pitched at Rimmon-parez.

And they set out from Rithmah and camped at Rimmon-perez.

20

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵרִמֹּן פֶּרֶץ וַיַּחֲנוּ בְלִבְנָה

KJVAnd they departed from Rimmon-parez, and pitched in Libnah.

And they set out from Rimmon-perez and camped at Libnah.

21

וַיִּסְעוּ מִלִּבְנָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּרִסָּה

KJVAnd they removed from Libnah, and pitched at Rissah.

And they set out from Libnah and camped at Rissah.

22

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵרִסָּה וַיַּחֲנוּ בִּקְהֵלָתָה

KJVAnd they journeyed from Rissah, and pitched in Kehelathah.

And they set out from Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.

23

וַיִּסְעוּ מִקְּהֵלָתָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּהַר-שָׁפֶר

KJVAnd they went from Kehelathah, and pitched in mount Shapher.

And they set out from Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

24

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵהַר-שָׁפֶר וַיַּחֲנוּ בַּחֲרָדָה

KJVAnd they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.

And they set out from Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

25

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵחֲרָדָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמַקְהֵלֹת

KJVAnd they removed from Haradah, and pitched in Makheloth.

And they set out from Haradah and camped at Makheloth.

26

וַיִּסְעוּ מִמַּקְהֵלֹת וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּתָחַת

KJVAnd they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.

And they set out from Makheloth and camped at Tahath.

27

וַיִּסְעוּ מִתָּחַת וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּתָרַח

KJVAnd they departed from Tahath, and pitched at Tarah.

And they set out from Tahath and camped at Terah.

28

וַיִּסְעוּ מִתָּרַח וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמִתְקָה

KJVAnd they removed from Tarah, and pitched in Mithcah.

And they set out from Terah and camped at Mithkah.

29

וַיִּסְעוּ מִמִּתְקָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּחַשְׁמֹנָה

KJVAnd they went from Mithcah, and pitched in Hashmonah.

And they set out from Mithkah and camped at Hashmonah.

30

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵחַשְׁמֹנָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּמֹסֵרוֹת

KJVAnd they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth.

And they set out from Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.

31

וַיִּסְעוּ מִמֹּסֵרוֹת וַיַּחֲנוּ בִּבְנֵי יַעֲקָן

KJVAnd they departed from Moseroth, and pitched in Bene-jaakan.

And they set out from Moseroth and camped at Bene-jaakan.

32

וַיִּסְעוּ מִבְּנֵי יַעֲקָן וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּחֹר הַגִּדְגָּד

KJVAnd they removed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad.

And they set out from Bene-jaakan and camped at Hor-haggidgad.

33

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵחֹר הַגִּדְגָּד וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּיָטְבָתָה

KJVAnd they went from Hor-hagidgad, and pitched in Jotbathah.

And they set out from Hor-haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.

34

וַיִּסְעוּ מִיָּטְבָתָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּעַבְרֹנָה

KJVAnd they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah.

And they set out from Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

35

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵעַבְרֹנָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּעֶצְיוֹן גָּבֶר

KJVAnd they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Ezion-gaber.

And they set out from Abronah and camped at Ezion-geber.

36

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵעֶצְיֹן גָּבֶר וַיַּחֲנוּ בְמִדְבַּר-צִן הִוא קָדֵשׁ

KJVAnd they removed from Ezion-gaber, and pitched in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

And they set out from Ezion-geber and camped in the wilderness of Zin (that is, Kadesh).

37

וַיִּסְעוּ מִקָּדֵשׁ וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּהֹר הָהָר בִּקְצֵה אֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם

KJVAnd they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

And they set out from Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the edge of the land of Edom.

38

וַיַּעַל אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן אֶל-הֹר הָהָר עַל-פִּי יְהוָה וַיָּמָת שָׁם בִּשְׁנַת הָאַרְבָּעִים לְצֵאת בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִׁי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ

KJVAnd Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.

And Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor at the command of the LORD and died there, in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.

39

וְאַהֲרֹן בֶּן-שָׁלֹשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה בְּמֹתוֹ בְּהֹר הָהָר

KJVAnd Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40

וַיִּשְׁמַע הַכְּנַעֲנִי מֶלֶךְ עֲרָד וְהוּא-יֹשֵׁב בַּנֶּגֶב בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן בְּבֹא בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל

KJVAnd king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who lived in the Negeb in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the people of Israel.

41

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵהֹר הָהָר וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּצַלְמֹנָה

KJVAnd they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.

And they set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.

42

וַיִּסְעוּ מִצַּלְמֹנָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּפוּנֹן

KJVAnd they departed from Zalmonah, and pitched in Punon.

And they set out from Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

43

וַיִּסְעוּ מִפּוּנֹן וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּאֹבוֹת

KJVAnd they departed from Punon, and pitched in Oboth.

And they set out from Punon and camped at Oboth.

44

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵאֹבוֹת וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּעִיֵּי הָעֲבָרִים בִּגְבוּל מוֹאָב

KJVAnd they departed from Oboth, and pitched in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab.

And they set out from Oboth and camped at Iye-abarim, in the territory of Moab.

45

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵעִיִּים וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּדִיבֹן גָּד

KJVAnd they departed from Iim, and pitched in Dibon-gad.

And they set out from Iyim and camped at Dibon-gad.

46

וַיִּסְעוּ מִדִּיבֹן גָּד וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּעַלְמֹן דִּבְלָתָיְמָה

KJVAnd they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim.

And they set out from Dibon-gad and camped at Almon-diblathaim.

47

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵעַלְמֹן דִּבְלָתָיְמָה וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּהָרֵי הָעֲבָרִים לִפְנֵי נְבוֹ

KJVAnd they removed from Almon-diblathaim, and pitched in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

And they set out from Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48

וַיִּסְעוּ מֵהָרֵי הָעֲבָרִים וַיַּחֲנוּ בְּעַרְבֹת מוֹאָב עַל יַרְדֵּן יְרֵחוֹ

KJVAnd they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and pitched in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

And they set out from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho;

49

וַיַּחֲנוּ עַל-הַיַּרְדֵּן מִבֵּית הַיְשִׁמֹת עַד אָבֵל הַשִּׁטִּים בְּעַרְבֹת מוֹאָב

KJVAnd they pitched by Jordan, from Beth-jesimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

they camped by the Jordan from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

50

וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה בְּעַרְבֹת מוֹאָב עַל-יַרְדֵּן יְרֵחוֹ לֵאמֹר

KJVAnd the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

51

דַּבֵּר אֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים אֶת-הַיַּרְדֵּן אֶל-אֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן

KJVSpeak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52

וְהוֹרַשְׁתֶּם אֶת-כָּל-יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ מִפְּנֵיכֶם וְאִבַּדְתֶּם אֵת כָּל-מַשְׂכִּיֹּתָם וְאֵת כָּל-צַלְמֵי מַסֵּכֹתָם תְּאַבֵּדוּ וְאֵת כָּל-בָּמֹתָם תַּשְׁמִידוּ

KJVThen ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you and destroy all their figured stones and destroy all their metal images and demolish all their high places.

53

וְהוֹרַשְׁתֶּם אֶת-הָאָרֶץ וִישַׁבְתֶּם-בָּהּ כִּי לָכֶם נָתַתִּי אֶת-הָאָרֶץ לָרֶשֶׁת אֹתָהּ

KJVAnd ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.

And you shall take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given the land to you to possess it.

54

וְהִתְנַחַלְתֶּם אֶת-הָאָרֶץ בְּגוֹרָל לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתֵיכֶם לָרַב תַּרְבּוּ אֶת-נַחֲלָתוֹ וְלַמְעַט תַּמְעִיט אֶת-נַחֲלָתוֹ אֶל אֲשֶׁר-יֵצֵא לוֹ שָׁמָּה הַגּוֹרָל לוֹ יִהְיֶה לְמַטּוֹת אֲבֹתֵיכֶם תִּתְנֶחָלוּ

KJVAnd ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.

You shall inherit the land by lot according to your clans. To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance. Wherever the lot falls for anyone, that shall be his. According to the tribes of your fathers you shall inherit.

55

וְאִם-לֹא תוֹרִישׁוּ אֶת-יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ מִפְּנֵיכֶם וְהָיָה אֲשֶׁר תּוֹתִירוּ מֵהֶם לְשִׂכִּים בְּעֵינֵיכֶם וְלִצְנִינִים בְּצִדֵּיכֶם וְצָרְרוּ אֶתְכֶם עַל-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יֹשְׁבִים בָּהּ

KJVBut if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those of them whom you let remain shall be as barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land where you dwell.

56

וְהָיָה כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּמִּיתִי לַעֲשׂוֹת לָהֶם אֶעֱשֶׂה לָכֶם

KJVMoreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.

And I will do to you as I thought to do to them.
