1 Maccabees 13:15

Περὶ ἀργυρίου, οὗ ὤφειλεν Ιωναθαν ὁ ἀδελφός σου εἰς τὸ βασιλικὸν δι’ ἃς εἶχεν χρείας, συνέχομεν αὐτόν·

Whereas we have Jonathan thy brother in hold, it is for money that he is owing unto the king's treasure, concerning the business that was committed unto him.

Modern English

"It is because of money your brother Jonathan owes the royal treasury, related to the office entrusted to him, that we hold him.
