1 Maccabees 7:30

καὶ ἐγνώσθη ὁ λόγος τῷ Ιουδα ὅτι μετὰ δόλου ἦλθεν ἐπ’ αὐτόν, καὶ ἐπτοήθη ἀπ’ αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐβουλήθη ἔτι ἰδεῖν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ.

Which thing after it was known to Judas, to wit, that he came unto him with deceit, he was sore afraid of him, and would see his face no more.

Modern English

When Judas learned that Nicanor had come to him deceitfully, he was greatly alarmed and refused to meet with him again.
