2 Maccabees 10:7

διὸ θύρσους καὶ κλάδους ὡραίους, ἔτι δὲ καὶ φοίνικας ἔχοντες ὕμνους ἀνέφερον τῷ εὐοδώσαντι καθαρισθῆναι τὸν ἑαυτοῦ τόπον.

Therefore they bare branches, and fair boughs, and palms also, and sang psalms unto him that had given them good success in cleansing his place.

Modern English

So they carried leafy branches, beautiful boughs, and palm fronds, and sang hymns to the one who had granted them success in purifying his sanctuary.
