2 Maccabees 11:2

συναθροίσας περὶ τὰς ὀκτὼ μυριάδας καὶ τὴν ἵππον ἅπασαν παρεγίνετο ἐπὶ τοὺς Ιουδαίους λογιζόμενος τὴν μὲν πόλιν Ἕλλησιν οἰκητήριον ποιήσειν,
King James Version (KJV)

And when he had gathered about fourscore thousand with all the horsemen, he came against the Jews, thinking to make the city an habitation of the Gentiles,

Modern English

Gathering about eighty thousand troops along with all his cavalry, he marched against the Jews, intending to turn the city into a settlement for Gentiles,
