King James Version (KJV)

But of the governors of several places, Timotheus, and Apollonius the son of Genneus, also Hieronymus, and Demophon, and beside them Nicanor the governor of Cyprus, would not suffer them to be quiet, and live in peace.

Modern English

But some of the local governors — Timotheus, Apollonius son of Gennaeus, as well as Hieronymus and Demophon, and along with them Nicanor the governor of Cyprus — would not let them settle down and live in peace.
