2 Maccabees

2 Maccabees 3:25

King James Version (KJV)

For there appeared unto them an horse with a terrible rider upon him, and adorned with a very fair covering, and he ran fiercely, and smote at Heliodorus with his forefeet, and it seemed that he that sat upon the horse had complete harness of gold.

Modern English

A horse appeared before them with a fearsome rider on it, richly adorned, charging fiercely and striking at Heliodorus with its front hooves; the rider seemed to wear armor entirely of gold.
