2 Maccabees 7:14

King James Version (KJV)

So when he was ready to die he said thus, It is good, being put to death by men, to look for hope from God to be raised up again by him: as for thee, thou shalt have no resurrection to life.

Modern English

As he was about to die, he said, It is good, when dying at the hands of men, to hold to the hope that God will raise us up again; but you will have no resurrection to life.
