Additions to Esther

Additions to Esther 2:4

King James Version (KJV)

Declared unto us, that in all nations throughout the world there was scattered a certain malicious people, that had laws contrary to all nations, and continually despised the commandments of kings, so as the uniting of our kingdoms, honourably intended by us, cannot go forward.

Modern English

"showed us that scattered among all the nations of the world there is a certain hostile people, whose laws are opposed to those of every other nation, who continually disregard the commands of kings, so that the harmonious unity of our kingdom, which we intend with honor, cannot go forward."
