Judith

Judith 3:8

King James Version (KJV)

Yet he did cast down their frontiers, and cut down their groves: for he had decreed to destroy all the gods of the land, that all nations should worship Nabuchodonosor only, and that all tongues and tribes should call upon him as god.

Modern English

Yet he tore down their sacred sites and cut down their sacred groves, for he had resolved to destroy every god of the land, so that all nations would worship Nebuchadnezzar alone, and every tongue and tribe would call upon him as a god.
