Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 20:6

ἔστι σιωπῶν, οὐ γὰρ ἔχει ἀπόκρισιν, καὶ ἔστι σιωπῶν εἰδὼς καιρόν.
King James Version (KJV)

Some man holdeth his tongue, because he hath not to answer: and some keepeth silence, knowing his time.

Modern English

One person stays silent because he has nothing to say, and another stays silent because he knows the right moment.
