וַיְהִ֗י לִתְקֻפַת֙ הַשָּׁנָ֔ה עָ֠לָ֡ה עָלָ֡יו חֵ֠יל אֲרָ֡ם וַ֠יָּב֡וֹאוּ אֶ֠ל יְהוּדָ֡ה וִ֠ירוּשָׁלָ֡͏ִם וַ֠יַּשְׁחִ֡יתוּ אֶ֠ת כָּ֠ל שָׂרֵ֡י הָ֠עָ֡ם מֵ֠עָ֡ם וְ֠כָ֠ל שְׁ֠לָלָ֡ם שִׁ֠לְּח֡וּ לְ֠מֶ֠לֶךְ דַּמָּֽשֶׂק׃
And it came to pass at the end of the year, that the host of Syria came up against him: and they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all the spoil of them unto the king of Damascus.
Al final del año, el ejército de los sirios subió contra Joás. Vinieron a Judá y Jerusalén y destruyeron a todos los príncipes del pueblo de entre el pueblo, y enviaron todo el botín al rey de Damasco.
