וְדָנִיֵּאל֩ כְּדִ֨י יְדַ֜ע דִּ֣י רְשִׁ֣ים כְּתָבָ֗א עַ֤ל לְבֵיתֵהּ֙ וְכַוִּ֣ין פְּתִיחָ֣ן לֵ֔הּ בְּעִלִּיתֵ֖הּ נֶ֣גֶד יְרוּשְׁלֶ֑ם וְזִמְנִ֨ין תְּלָ֜תָה בְיֹֽומָ֗א הֽוּא בָּרֵ֧ךְ עַל בִּרְכֹ֛והִי וּמְצַלֵּ֥א וּמוֹדֵ֖א קֳדָ֥ם אֱלָהֵֽהּ כָּל קֳבֵ֗ל דִּֽי הֲוָה֙ עָבֵ֣ד מִן קַדְמַ֔ת דְּנָֽה׃
Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
Cuando Daniel supo que el decreto había sido firmado, fue a su casa, donde tenía las ventanas de su aposento superior abiertas hacia Jerusalén. Se arrodillaba tres veces al día y oraba y daba gracias ante su Dios, tal como solía hacerlo antes.
