וְזֹ֤את לְפָנִים֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל עַל־הַגְּאוּלָּ֥ה וְעַל־הַתְּמוּרָ֖ה לְקַיֵּ֣ם כָּל־דָּבָ֑ר שָׁלַ֤ף אִישׁ֙ נַעֲל֔וֹ וְנָתַ֖ן לְרֵעֵ֑הוּ וְזֹ֥את הַתְּעוּדָ֖ה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.
Había ya de antiguo esta costumbre en Israel sobre la redención y el contrato, para confirmar cualquier negocio: el uno se quitaba el zapato y lo daba a su compañero; y esto servía de testimonio en Israel.
