1 Chronicles 18:4

וַיִּלְכֹּ֨ד דָּוִ֜יד מִמֶּ֗נּוּ אֶ֤לֶף רֶ֙כֶב֙ וְשִׁבְעַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֣ים פָּרָשִׁ֔ים וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף אִ֣ישׁ רַגְלִ֑י וַיְעַקֵּ֤ר דָּוִיד֙ אֶת כָּל הָרֶ֔כֶב וַיּ֣וֹתֶר מִמֶּ֔נּוּ מֵאָ֖ה רָֽכֶב׃
vayilkod daviyd mimenv ʾelef rekeb vshibʿat ʾalapiym parashiym vʿeshriym ʾelef ʾiysh ragliy vayʿaqer daviyd ʾet kal harekeb vayvoter mimenv meʾah rakeb
King James Version (KJV)

And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.

Modern English

And David took from him 1,000 chariots, 7,000 horsemen, and 20,000 foot soldiers. And David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but left enough for 100 chariots.
