1 Chronicles 4:40

וַיִּמְצְאוּ֩ מִרְעֶ֨ה שָׁמֵ֜ן וָט֗וֹב וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ רַחֲבַ֥ת יָדַ֛יִם וְשֹׁקֶ֥טֶת וּשְׁלֵוָ֖ה כִּ֣י מִן חָ֑ם הַיֹּשְׁבִ֥ים שָׁ֖ם לְפָנִֽים׃

vayimṣʾv mirʿeh shamen vaṭvob vhaʾareṣ raḥabat yadayim vshoqeṭet vshlevah kiy min ḥam hayoshbiym sham lpaniym

King James Version (KJV)

And they found fat pasture and good, and the land was wide, and quiet, and peaceable; for they of Ham had dwelt there of old.

Modern English

And they found rich, good pasture, and the land was very broad, quiet, and peaceful, for the former inhabitants there belonged to Ham.
