Esther 2:8

וַיְהִ֗י בְּהִשָּׁמַ֤ע דְּבַר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וְדָת֔וֹ וּבְהִקָּבֵ֛ץ נְעָר֥וֹת רַבּ֖וֹת אֶל שׁוּשַׁ֣ן הַבִּירָ֑ה אֶל יַ֣ד הֵגָ֔י וַתִּלָּקַ֤ח אֶסְתֵּר֙ אֶל בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֶל יַ֖ד הֵגַ֥י שֹׁמֵ֖ר הַנָּשִֽׁים׃
vayhiy bhishamaʿ dbar hamelek vdatvo vbhiqabeṣ nʿarvot rabvot ʾel shvshan habiyrah ʾel yad hegay vatilaqaḥ ʾester ʾel beyt hamelek ʾel yad hegay shomer hanashiym

So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.

Modern English

So when the king's order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in Susa the citadel in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king's palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women.
