Nehemiah 13:17

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

Then I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them: What is this evil thing that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day?

וָאָרִ֙יבָה֙ אֵ֣ת חֹרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וָאֹמְרָ֣ה לָהֶ֔ם מָ֥ה הַדָּבָ֖ר הָרָ֣ע הַזֶּ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַ֣תֶּם עֹשִׂ֗ים וּמְחַלְּלִ֖ים אֶת י֥וֹם הַשַּׁבָּֽת׃

vaʾariybah ʾet ḥorey yhvdah vaʾomrah lahem mah hadabar haraʿ hazeh ʾasher ʾatem ʿoshiym vmḥalliym ʾet yvom hashabat
