Proverbs 17:26

גַּ֤ם עֲנ֣וֹשׁ לַצַּדִּ֣יק לֹא טּ֑וֹב לְהַכּ֥וֹת נְ֝דִיבִ֗ים עַל יֹֽשֶׁר׃

Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity.

Modern English

To impose a fine on a righteous man is not good, nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.

Hebrew

גַּ֤ם עֲנ֣וֹשׁ לַצַּדִּ֣יק לֹא טּ֑וֹב לְהַכּ֥וֹת נְ֝דִיבִ֗ים עַל יֹֽשֶׁר׃

gam ʿanvosh laṣadiyq loʾ ṭvob lhakvot ndiybiym ʿal yosher
