Psalms 39:12

בְּ֭תוֹכָחוֹת עַל עָ֣וֹן יִסַּ֣רְתָּ אִ֑ישׁ וַתֶּ֥מֶס כָּ֝עָשׁ חֲמוּד֗וֹ אַ֣ךְ הֶ֣בֶל כָּל אָדָ֗ם׃
King James Version (KJV)

When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah.

Modern English

When you discipline a man with rebukes for sin, you consume like a moth what is dear to him; surely all mankind is a mere breath!
