לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ עַל יוֹנַ֥ת אֵ֫לֶם רְחֹקִ֥ים לְדָוִ֗ד מִכְתָּ֫ם בֶּאֱחֹ֥ז אֹת֖וֹ פְלִשְׁתִּ֣ים בְּגַֽת׃
KJVTo the chief Musician upon Jonathelemrechokim, Michtam of David, when the Philistines took him in Gath.
To the choirmaster: according to The Dove on Far-off Terebinths. A Miktam of David, when the Philistines seized him in Gath.

חָנֵּ֣נִי אֱ֭לֹהִים כִּ֤י שְׁאָפַ֖נִי אֱנ֣וֹשׁ כָּל הַ֝יּ֗וֹם לֹחֵ֥ם יִלְחָֽצֵנִי׃
KJVBe merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me; all day long an attacker oppresses me;

שָׁאֲפ֣וּ שֽׁוֹרְרַ֣י כָּל הַיּ֑וֹם כִּֽי רַבִּ֥ים לֹ֝חֲמִ֗ים לִ֣י מָרֽוֹם׃
KJVMine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
my enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly.

י֗וֹם אִ֫ירָ֥א אֲנִ֗י אֵ֣לֶ֣יךָ אֶבְטָֽח׃
KJVWhat time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

בֵּ֭אלֹהִים אֲהַלֵּ֣ל דְּבָר֑וֹ בֵּ֘אלֹהִ֤ים בָּטַ֥חְתִּי לֹ֣א אִ֭ירָא מַה יַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה בָשָׂ֑ר לִֽי׃
KJVIn God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?

כָּל הַ֭יּוֹם דְּבָרַ֣י יְעַצֵּ֑בוּ עָ֝לַ֗י כָּל מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֥ם לְרָעָֽה׃
KJVEvery day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
All day long they injure my cause; all their thoughts are against me for evil.

יָגּ֗וּרוּ יִצְפֹּ֥נוּ הֵ֗מָּה עֲקֵבַ֗י יִ֭שְׁמֹרוּ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר קִוּ֣וּ נַפְשִֽׁי׃
KJVThey gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
They stir up strife, they lurk; they watch my steps, as they have waited for my life.

עַ֤ל אָ֗וֶן פַּלֶּט לָ֑מוֹ בְּ֝אַ֗ף עַמִּ֥ים הוֹרֵ֗ד אֱלֹהִֽים׃
KJVShall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
For their crime will they escape? In wrath cast down the peoples, O God!

נֹ֣דִי סָ֭פַרְתָּ אָ֑תָּה שִׂ֥ימָה דִ֝מְעָתִ֗י בְּנֹאדֶ֗ךָ הֲלֹ֥א בְסִפְרָתֶֽךָ׃
KJVThou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?

אָ֤ז יָשׁ֣וּבוּ אוֹיְבַ֣י אָחוֹר֑ בְּ֝י֗וֹם אֶקְרָ֥א זֶ֗ה יָדַ֥עְתִּי כִּ֣י אֱלֹהִ֣ים לִֽי׃
KJVWhen I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.

בֵּ֭אלֹהִים אֲהַלֵּ֣ל דָּבָ֑ר בַּ֝יהוָ֗ה אֲהַלֵּ֥ל דָּבָֽר׃
KJVIn God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise,

בֵּ֭אלֹהִים בָּטַ֥חְתִּי לֹ֣א אִ֭ירָא מַ֣ה יַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה אָדָ֣ם לִֽי׃
KJVIn God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?

עָלַ֥י אֱלֹהִ֗ים נְדָרֶ֫יךָ אֲשַׁלֵּ֥ם תּ֭וֹדֹת לָֽךְ׃
KJVThy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
I must perform my vows to you, O God; I will render thank offerings to you.

כִּ֤י הִ֭צַּלְתָּ נַפְשִׁ֣י מִמָּ֑וֶת הֲלֹ֥א רַ֝גְלַ֗י מִדֶּ֥חִי לִהְתְהַלֵּ֤ךְ ׀ לִפְנֵ֖י אֱלֹהִ֣ים בְּא֣וֹר הַחַיִּֽים׃
KJVFor thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
