1 John 2:4

Ὁ λέγων, Ἔγνωκα αὐτόν, καὶ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ μὴ τηρῶν, ψεύστης ἐστίν, καὶ ἐν τούτῳ ἡ ἀλήθεια οὐκ ἔστιν·
O legōn, Egnōka ayton, kai tas entolas aytoy mē tērōn, pseystēs estin, kai en toytō ē alētheia oyk estin·
King James Version (KJV)

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Modern English

Whoever says, I know him, but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.
