Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.
ἔχων πίστιν καὶ ἀγαθὴν συνείδησιν, ἥν τινες ἀπωσάμενοι περὶ τὴν πίστιν ἐναυάγησαν·
echōn pistin kai agathēn syneidēsin, ēn tines apōsamenoi peri tēn pistin enayagēsan·
