2 Thessalonians 2:13

Ἡμεῖς δὲ ὀφείλομεν εὐχαριστεῖν τῷ Θεῷ πάντοτε περὶ ὑμῶν, ἀδελφοὶ ἠγαπημένοι ὑπὸ Κυρίου, ὅτι εἵλετο ὑμᾶς ὁ Θεὸς ἀπ' ἀρχῆς εἰς σωτηρίαν ἐν ἁγιασμῷ Πνεύματος, καὶ πίστει ἀληθείας·
Ēmeis de opheilomen eycharistein tō Theō pantote peri ymōn, adelphoi ēgapēmenoi ypo Kyrioy, oti eileto ymas o Theos ap' archēs eis sōtērian en agiasmō Pneymatos, kai pistei alētheias·

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Modern English

But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.
