Ephesians 2:12

oti ēte en tō kairō ekeinō chōris Christoy, apēllotriōmenoi tēs politeias toy Israēl, kai xenoi tōn diathēkōn tēs epaggelias, elpida mē echontes, kai atheoi en tō kosmō.
King James Version (KJV)

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Modern English

remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.
