Galatians · Πρὸς Γαλάτας

Galatians 4:9

νῦν δέ, γνόντες Θεόν, μᾶλλον δὲ γνωσθέντες ὑπὸ Θεοῦ, πῶς ἐπιστρέφετε πάλιν ἐπὶ τὰ ἀσθενῆ καὶ πτωχὰ στοιχεῖα, οἷς πάλιν ἄνωθεν δουλεύειν θέλετε;
nyn de, gnontes Theon, mallon de gnōsthentes ypo Theoy, pōs epistrephete palin epi ta asthenē kai ptōcha stoicheia, ois palin anōthen doyleyein thelete;
King James Version (KJV)

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

Modern English

But now that you know God — or rather are known by God — how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?
