Hebrews 11:38

ὧν οὐκ ἦν ἄξιος ὁ κόσμος- ἐν ἐρημίαις πλανώμενοι καὶ ὄρεσιν καὶ σπηλαίοις καὶ ταῖς ὀπαῖς τῆς γῆς.
ōn oyk ēn axios o kosmos- en erēmiais planōmenoi kai oresin kai spēlaiois kai tais opais tēs gēs.

(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

Modern English

the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, living in caves and in holes in the ground.
