Hebrews 8:3

πᾶς γὰρ ἀρχιερεὺς εἰς τὸ προσφέρειν δῶρά τε καὶ θυσίας καθίσταται· ὅθεν ἀναγκαῖον ἔχειν τι καὶ τοῦτον ὃ προσενέγκῃ.

pas gar archiereys eis to prospherein dōra te kai thysias kathistatai· othen anagkaion echein ti kai toyton o prosenegkē.

King James Version (KJV)

For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

Modern English

Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.
