John 5:7

απεκριθη αυτω ο ασθενων κυριε ανθρωπον ουκ εχω ινα οταν ταραχθη το υδωρ βαλλη με εις την κολυμβηθραν εν ω δε ερχομαι εγω αλλος προ εμου καταβαινει
apekrithē aytō o asthenōn kyrie anthrōpon oyk echō ina otan tarachthē to ydōr ballē me eis tēn kolymbēthran en ō de erchomai egō allos pro emoy katabainei

The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

Modern English

The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I’m coming, another steps down before me.”
