Luke 11:1

και εγενετο εν τω ειναι αυτον εν τοπω τινι προσευχομενον ως επαυσατο ειπεν τις των μαθητων αυτου προς αυτον κυριε διδαξον ημας προσευχεσθαι καθως και ιωαννης εδιδαξεν τους μαθητας αυτου
kai egeneto en tō einai ayton en topō tini proseychomenon ōs epaysato eipen tis tōn mathētōn aytoy pros ayton kyrie didaxon ēmas proseychesthai kathōs kai iōannēs edidaxen toys mathētas aytoy

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Modern English

When he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples.”
