Luke 24:29

και παρεβιασαντο αυτον λεγοντες μεινον μεθ ημων οτι προς εσπεραν εστιν και κεκλικεν η ημερα και εισηλθεν του μειναι συν αυτοις
kai parebiasanto ayton legontes meinon meth ēmōn oti pros esperan estin kai kekliken ē ēmera kai eisēlthen toy meinai syn aytois

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

Modern English

They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.
