Matthew 20:12

λεγοντες οτι ουτοι οι εσχατοι μιαν ωραν εποιησαν και ισους ημιν αυτους εποιησας τοις βαστασασιν το βαρος της ημερας και τον καυσωνα
legontes oti oytoi oi eschatoi mian ōran epoiēsan kai isoys ēmin aytoys epoiēsas tois bastasasin to baros tēs ēmeras kai ton kaysōna

Saying, These last have wrought {but} one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. {have wrought...: or, have continued one hour only}

Modern English

saying, ‘These last have spent one hour, and you have made them equal to us, who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat!’
