And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
Καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ζητήσουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι τὸν θάνατον, καὶ οὐ μὴ εὑρήσουσιν αὐτόν· καὶ ἐπιθυμήσουσιν ἀποθανεῖν, καὶ φεύξεται ἀπ' αὐτῶν ὁ θάνατος.
Kai en tais ēmerais ekeinais zētēsoysin oi anthrōpoi ton thanaton, kai oy mē eyrēsoysin ayton· kai epithymēsoysin apothanein, kai pheyxetai ap' aytōn o thanatos.
