Aaron throws down his staff before Pharaoh and it becomes a serpent. Egypt's magicians do the same with their staffs. But Aaron's serpent swallows all of theirs. Pharaoh's heart hardens. The confrontation between the God of Israel and the gods of Egypt has begun.
