Macabeo, al ver el tamaño de la multitud que se acercaba, la variedad del armamento y la ferocidad de las bestias, extendió sus manos hacia el cielo e invocó al Señor que obra maravillas, sabiendo que la victoria no viene por las armas, sino que él la concede a quienes considera dignos, según su propia voluntad.
