Judith

Judith 9:4

King James Version (KJV)

And hast given their wives for a prey, and their daughters to be captives, and all their spoils to be divided among thy dear children; which were moved with thy zeal, and abhorred the pollution of their blood, and called upon thee for aid: O God, O my God, hear me also a widow.

Modern English

You gave their wives to be plundered and their daughters to be taken captive, and all their spoil to be divided among your beloved children, who were moved by zeal for you and abhorred the defiling of their own blood, and called on you for help — O God, my God, hear me too, a widow.
