[Ἑλλ. — ὁ στίχος ἀπουσιάζει ἀπὸ τὸ κύριο κείμενο τῶν Ο΄ (Rahlfs)· προσθήκη τῆς παλαιᾶς Λατινικῆς παράδοσης, ὅπως ἀκολουθεῖ τὸ KJV] τέκνα δὲ ὑπερήφανα δι᾿ ὑπεροψίαν καὶ ἀπαιδευσίαν μολύνουσι τὴν εὐγένειαν τοῦ γένους αὐτῶν.

But children, being haughty, through disdain and want of nurture do stain the nobility of their kindred.

Modern English

But arrogant children, through contempt and lack of upbringing, stain the good name of their family.
