Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 22:9

[Ἑλλ. — ὁ στίχος ἀπουσιάζει ἀπὸ τὸ κύριο κείμενο τῶν Ο΄ (Rahlfs)· προσθήκη τῆς παλαιᾶς Λατινικῆς παράδοσης, ὅπως ἀκολουθεῖ τὸ KJV] ἐὰν τέκνα ζήσωσιν εὐσχημόνως καὶ ἔχωσι τὰ πρὸς τὸ ζῆν, καλύψουσι τὴν δυσγένειαν τῶν γονέων αὐτῶν.

King James Version (KJV)

If children live honestly, and have wherewithal, they shall cover the baseness of their parents.

Modern English

If children live decently and have the means, they cover over their parents' shortcomings.
