Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) 5:13

δόξα καὶ ἀτιμία ἐν λαλιᾷ, καὶ γλῶσσα ἀνθρώπου πτῶσις αὐτῷ.

Honour and shame is in talk: and the tongue of man is his fall.

Modern English

Honor and shame lie in speech, and a person's tongue can be his downfall.
